Make Copies of your Wallet or Pocketbook

If your wallet or pocketbook is lost or stolen you will want to immediately notify credit card companies, insurance companies, and others – both to protect your identity and to receive replacement cards. Make that process easier: Make copies of all the items in your wallet. Copy both sides, since contact information – especially customer service phone numbers – is usually found on the back of most cards. Keep the copies in a safe place, and if your wallet is stolen, immediately make the calls necessary to protect yourself and get the replacement cards and documents you need to get your financial life back on track.
